What’s better than Nachos? KETO NACHOS!

Why? Because instead of the high carb corn chips, we replace them with – wait for it – CHEESE CHIPS!

It doesn’t take long at all, and you literally are just sprinkling cheese for the most part in this recipe, which is awesome.

As for toppings, store bought Guacamole will do just fine, or you can make your own, which is super simple and super fun.

The cheese being high in fat will keep you energised, and the flavors and spices combine to give you the most authentic Keto Nachos you’ll ever find.

Also, feel free to tailor the recipe to what you like as far as the toppings go. She options include swapping the beef for chicken, or going vegetarian and using capsicum/peppers or even a mixture of different cheeses for the toppings. The sky is the limit with they recipe! Just be sure that whatever you add is low in sugar, otherwise you’ll push yourself out of Ketosis and have to start all over again.

This recipe will work for Lunch, Dinner and Snacks alike if you’re being conservative, but nobody ever said you can’t have Nachos for Breakfast!

Directions

Step 1

Firstly, set your oven to 400˚F (200˚C). Now, we are going to use cheddar cheese as our base, so you'll need some baking paper/parchment paper.

Step 2

In a rectangular shape (this is important), sprinkle your cheese over the baking paper/parchment paper, then sprinkle your Parmesan cheese on top of that.

Step 3

Mix your Turmeric, Cumin, Garlic and Chilli powders until you have a seasoning and sprinkle over the op of the cheese rectangle.

Step 4

Bake for between 8-10 minutes, but keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn. Remove from the oven and let the cheese cool and set.

Step 5

Once the cheese has hardened, take a pair of cooking scissors (or a heavy knife) and cut into strips. Then, cut the strips into triangles. This is why the rectangle was so important. Now, you've got Keto Nachos chips!

Step 6

Your remaining ingredients are your toppings. We recommend heating a pan to medium and combining the remaining ingredients (excluding the Guacamole and Sour Cream) to heat and mix for about 3-5 minutes with your remaining cheese. Then, place your Nacho chips in a bowl, top with the ingredients from the pan and add the Guac and Sour Cream! Enjoy!

Step 7

OPTIONAL: If you want your chips to be harder, you can broil them for a few minutes. You can do this with a skillet or frying pan. Just make sure you're watching so you don't burn them.
