Bulletproof Coffee has been around for a while and there’s a reason why. The first of our bulletproof recipes comes by way of bulletproof coffee. The humble bean that packs a punch and gets the world into gear is perfectly safe within the Keto Diet; in fact it’s strongly recommended. 

Coffee benefits aren’t just placebo effects, as as it is also known to:

  • Improve levels of energy
  • Assist in burning fat
  • Speed up your metabolism
  • contain caffeine; which acts as a stimulant by breaking down fatty acids to be used as fuel
  • Taste great!
  • Be rich in nutrients such as Riboflavin, Potassium, Magnesium, Manganese, Niacin and Pantothenic acid

The nuts and bolts of this one are simple; it’s got no carbs and is fat heavy. The fat effectively replaces the milk which is where you’ll find most of your carbs, unless you’re also adding sugar which we substitute for sweetener with this recipe. Sweeteners like Splenda, Equal, Stevia, liquid sweetener, sugarless etc. Any works.

The fat also thickens the coffee and gives it a beautiful texture.

You can also add some cocoa powder for a mocha type coffee if you’re feeling adventurous. From all bulletproof recipes, bulletproof coffee is one of the most versatile as you can be quite creative with it. 

Feel free to add some Turmeric in if you’re feeling any niggling pain as Turmeric is a very strong anti-inflammatory which also assists with symptoms of arthritis and depression.
