The standard western – grain-based – diet is rich in carbohydrates and a Ketogenic Diet on the other hand focuses on a much healthier diet and enables you to have nutritious fats as the primary source of the daily dietary calories.

Because this is something we aren’t used to, it’s essential that we meal plan and prep as much as we can, or else there are chances that we’d fall off the keto wagon in practically no time. The Keto Ground Beef and Green Beans not only satisfies your hunger, but injects you full of nutrients and energy to help you get done what you need to.

This is especially necessary when it comes to lunch which most of us usually have outdoors at work. This makes planning meals a crucial element if you want to successfully stay on a ketogenic diet.

Keeping this in mind we bring to you a lunch recipe, Keto Ground Beef and Green Beans; that is easy to make and hence a great addition to your meal prep for weekdays. You can make it in advance and freeze it in an airtight container for about a month.

Other than helping us follow the ketogenic diet, meal prep also helps us in making sure that we are incorporating the right amount of micro-nutrients, antioxidants, and fiber in our diets because otherwise, we might be faced with some nutrient deficiencies leading to conditions like hair loss, cramps, and constipation.

This brings us to one of this recipe’s nutrient-rich ingredients: green beans.

Unripe vegetables like green beans have a low quantity of sugar in them making them the perfect candidate for a delicious keto meal. Some of the nutrients that are abundantly found in this vegetable are vitamin C, manganese, and folate.

Vitamin C helps in protecting cells from the damage that is caused by free radicals. We are also exposed to free radicals in the environment that occur from cigarette smoke, harmful U.V rays from sunlight, and air pollution.

Manganese: a trace mineral, increases bone health, reduces the chances of diseases, and helps in the reduction of inflammation. So, it is safe to say that having vegetables in a keto diet, especially green beans is important for the human body.
